6 drivers who obstructed traffic by organizing a wedding convoy fined

Istanbul Traffic Control Branch of the Security Directorate initiated an investigation after footage of vehicles obstructing traffic flow while participating in a wedding convoy on Ataturk Boulevard appeared on social media on October 27. The teams identified the drivers O.O, H.Z, B.A.A, M.Z, I.Z, and S.O from the license plate information of the vehicles. The drivers were fined a total of 13,926 Turkish Lira for violations of the Highway Traffic Law, including not leaving enough space for other vehicles to enter safely, driving below the speed limit unless necessary, displaying disrespectful behavior on public roads that disturb the peace and tranquility of the public, and making dangerous lane changes.
