73 Thousand Counterfeit Watches Seized in Istanbul

Istanbul Police Department Anti-Smuggling Unit teams, through intelligence and field work, determined that a large number of counterfeit watches had been smuggled into the country and would be put on the market. During the operations carried out by the teams, it was determined that the counterfeit watches were stored in 3 separate warehouses in the Fatih district. 2 suspects were detained in the operations. A total of 73,104 counterfeit watches, with an estimated market value of approximately 100 million lira, were seized during the searches. Legal action was taken against the 2 suspects taken to the police station.
