Construction Cost Index Increased in June on a Monthly and Yearly Basis

Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the construction cost index data for the month of June. According to the data, the index increased by 1.37% compared to the previous month and by 23.58% compared to the same month last year. The monthly material index increased by 2.35%, while the labor index decreased by 0.35%. On an annual basis, the material index showed an increase of 19.37% and the labor index increased by 31.99%. Building construction cost index in June rose by 0.97% compared to the previous month and by 23.21% compared to the same month last year. The material index increased by 1.76% compared to the previous month, while the labor index decreased by 0.38%. Also, compared to the same month last year, the material index increased by 19.06% and the labor index increased by 31.16%. The construction cost index for non-building structures in June increased by 2.68% compared to the previous month and by 24.82% compared to the same month last year. In these structures, the material index increased by 4.19% compared to the previous month, while the labor index decreased by 0.24%. Compared to the same month last year, the material index increased by 20.31% and the labor index increased by 35%.
