According to Hindustan Times, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi reached a dangerous level yesterday, rising to 396. Following this, the Delhi Education Directorate has instructed that a hybrid education model be implemented in public and private schools. This means that all students from the 9th grade onwards in the capital will attend online classes on certain days of the week. In Delhi, where the Air Quality Index reaches dangerous levels near 500 during certain times of the year, measures have been taken to temporarily suspend education in city centers and halt unnecessary construction work. Delhi and its neighboring states face high levels of air pollution every winter due to exhaust fumes, burning of wood, coal, or crop residue, and low wind speeds.
