Eid al-Adha Boosts the E-Commerce Sector

Online shopping has seen a significant increase in the days leading up to Eid al-Adha, creating a busy period on e-commerce platforms. Consumers show a strong interest in essential categories such as food, kitchen products, clothing, and gifts during this period, while companies develop special campaigns and logistics solutions to expedite delivery processes and enhance customer satisfaction. It is expected that the e-commerce volume will exceed 350 billion liras during this period. TOBB e-commerce Council Member Özkara emphasized that holidays are one of the periods when e-commerce experiences the highest volume increase throughout the year. Last year, during Eid al-Adha, the total e-commerce volume exceeded 250 billion liras, with a growth of around 30 to 40 percent observed in food, kitchen products, clothing, and gift categories.
