Eğitim döneminde öğretmenlere akran zorbalığının önlenmesine yönelik eğitim verilecek
23-27 June dates have been determined by the Ministry as the professional working period for teachers. A 5-day professional working program has been prepared for teachers. The necessary committee and commission work will be done on the first day of the program starting today. Starting from the second day, differentiated programs will be implemented according to school types and levels. In the June term professional working program, a one-day training on preventing peer bullying will be provided to all teachers. Teachers will be given training on topics such as 'Peer Communication', 'Effective Listening and Empathy in Communication', 'Peer Bullying', 'Conflict Resolution Skills', 'Peer Communication and Self-Expression Skills', 'Use of Me Language and You Language in Communication', and 'Examples of Using Me Language and You Language'. The training covers topics such as what peer bullying is, where it is mostly done, types of bullying, factors that may lead to peer bullying, characteristics of students who bully and are exposed to bullying. Informative video content has been prepared for teachers in this regard. Through these contents, the aim is to provide information to teachers about bullying and to develop their skills in preventing bullying. The Ministry of National Education (MEB) is taking steps in the prevention of peer bullying. In this context, in 2024, the 'Prevention of Violence in Schools Regulation' was published, determining principles and methods for the prevention of all kinds of violence in schools, ensuring access to education and equal opportunities in education, increasing individuals' participation in social life and their knowledge and skills, as well as supporting students in all aspects. In the 2024-2025 academic year, training on the prevention of peer bullying was provided to 6,393,853 students, 60,605 teachers, and 338,590 parents. Moreover, efforts are systematically made with students to regulate emotions, develop conflict resolution skills, anger management, communication, life skills, and positive behavior development in order to eliminate factors that may lead to bullying.
