The Israeli army admitted to violating the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The army forces opened fire intermittently in some areas of Gaza in the last hours, claiming to remove suspects who were advancing towards them and posing a threat. An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) belonging to the Israeli army also fired at a vehicle heading from the central to the northern part of Gaza, allegedly passing through an unauthorized area according to the ceasefire agreement. Despite its repeated violations, the Israeli army claimed to fully comply with the ceasefire agreement and stated that it is ready for any scenario in the Gaza Strip. Approximately 47,417 Palestinians, including 17,841 children and 12,298 women, were killed in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip from October 7, 2023, until the ceasefire was reached. A total of 111,571 people were injured, and thousands of dead are still under the rubble. Civil infrastructure, including hospitals and educational institutions, were also destroyed by targeting where the civilians took shelter. The ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement between Hamas and Israel came into effect on Sunday, January 19 at 12:15 PM GMT.
