Minibus carrying public personnel collided with a car: 1 dead, 17 injured

Burak N. driving the minibus carrying public personnel and Halil İbrahim N. driving the car collided near the village of Çeltek connected to the center. Upon notification, health, AFAD, fire brigade and gendarmerie teams along with ambulance helicopter were dispatched to the scene. In the accident, 12 teachers, 2 doctors and 1 midwife in the minibus, along with 3 people in the car, were injured. The injured were taken to hospitals in the city after the initial intervention at the scene. Turan Naçar, one of the injured in the car, lost his life despite the intervention. The vital signs of the car driver Halil İbrahim N. and his mother Emine N. who were injured in the accident are reported to be critical. Governor Yılmaz Şimşek, who arrived at the scene and received information from the authorities, said in a statement to the press that health, AFAD, gendarmerie and fire brigade teams along with the ambulance helicopter arrived at the scene immediately after the accident. Şimşek stated that the accident occurred as a result of the collision between the service vehicle transporting public employees working in Yıldız town and the car, saying, '15 public personnel in the minibus and 3 citizens in the private vehicle are injured. We will visit our injured at the hospitals shortly. All of our injured have been transferred to hospitals. Get well soon.' It was also learned that the drivers of the vehicles were cousins.
