Saraçhane provokasyonunda 7 tutuklama

34 suspects who were detained for insulting President Erdoğan and resisting security forces during the rally held in Saraçhane Square on July 1st completed their procedures at the Istanbul Police Department Security Branch Directorate. The suspects were brought to the courthouse in the morning and after the prosecutor's procedures, 15 suspects were referred to the peace criminal judge with a request for their arrest. 7 suspects were arrested on charges of both 'insulting the president' and 'violating the law on meetings and demonstrations'. 19 suspects were released with judicial control measures. The procedures for the 8 suspects who were only requested to be arrested for 'violating the law on meetings and demonstrations' are ongoing.
