SEDDK Increased Mandatory Seat Insurance Coverage in Road Passenger Transportation

The Road Transport Regulations Board (SEDDK) has increased the mandatory seat insurance coverage in road passenger transportation. According to the new regulations published in the Official Gazette, the insurance coverage per passenger seat for drivers, assistants, and passengers in the vehicle has been raised from 175,000 TL to 252,000 TL for health expenses, injuries, and fatalities. The new tariff and instructions will come into effect on July 1, 2025, and will be supervised by the President of the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency.
