Sleeping at the bus stop, he had his phone and wallet stolen: The moments captured on camera

Metin Y. is a worker at a factory in the city, and on September 10, after finishing his shift, he was waiting at the bus stop on İnönü Street in Çınarlı Neighborhood to go home. He lay down on a bench feeling unwell, and eventually fell asleep. When he woke up, he realized that his pocket, which contained 6,000 liras, his cell phone, and his gold necklace were missing. Metin Y. reported the incident to the Police Department, and the Security and Pickpocketing Bureau of the Security Directorate initiated an investigation. Using the security camera footage of the nearby shop, the police were able to identify and locate Ir fan D, who was then apprehended at his residence. The stolen cell phone and gold necklace were recovered during a search of his house, but the stolen money was not found. Ir fan D. was arrested by the duty judge after the legal procedures at the police station. According to the security camera footage from the shop, the suspect approached Metin Y. while he was asleep on the bench at the bus stop, took the money from his pocket, and left. Shortly after, the suspect returned, taking Metin Y.'s cell phone and gold necklace before leaving the scene.
