South Korea: Passenger Plane Crashes with at Least 120 Dead

Jeju Airlines flight carrying 175 passengers and 6 crew members from Bangkok, Thailand crash-landed at Muan Airport in South Korea. The plane skidded off the runway, crashing into a fence and catching fire. Emergency was declared at the airport and flights were suspended. Rescue teams managed to control the fire and save 2 individuals. The flight, which was en route from Bangkok to Muan, had mostly South Korean passengers, with only 2 Thai nationals on board. The investigation into the cause of the crash has been initiated, indicating that the malfunction of the landing gear led to the accident during the forced landing. At least 120 casualties have been reported so far.
