Survey: Majority of Americans feel anxious or disappointed about election day

The Associated Press-NORC Public Relations Research Center survey shows that Democrats and Republicans share similar feelings about election day. 70% of survey participants expressed feeling 'anxious' or 'disappointed' about election day. The survey indicates that Democrats are more prone to feeling 'anxious' compared to Republicans, with independents feeling 'disappointed' but 'less anxious, less engaged, and less excited' than supporters of other parties. Black adults who express being 'more excited' for the race between Republican presidential candidate and former US President Donald Trump and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris also feel less 'disappointed or anxious' about the campaign. The survey also reveals that Latinos feel less 'disappointed' compared to white voters.
