Meteorology General Director of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Ministry Fevzi Burak Tekin announced the weather forecast for the new week. According to the latest predictions, hot weather will prevail throughout the country, with no significant rainfall expected. Tekin stated that temperatures will be 4 to 6 degrees above seasonal norms nationwide, with only the northeastern regions experiencing some rainfall. He mentioned that rain is expected in Trabzon, the inner parts of Rize, Artvin, Ardahan, and Kars tomorrow, with scattered showers in Giresun, Trabzon, the inner parts of Rize, Artvin, Ardahan, Kars, and Erzurum on Tuesday. The rainy system will move from Ardahan to Van along the line on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will see scattered rainfall in the northeastern regions of the country. Tekin emphasized that temperatures will exceed 40 degrees in the inland, western, and southern regions and advised against going out unnecessarily between 11:00-16:00 when the sun's rays are strongest. In Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir, there will be no rainfall for 3 days, with mostly clear skies. The temperature in the capital will range between 34-36 degrees for 3 days, reaching 37-38 degrees on Thursday and Friday. Istanbul will see temperatures of 33-35 degrees, while Izmir will reach 36-38 degrees and eventually 40 degrees. Tekin also warned against forest fires, stating that strong winds, high temperatures, and low humidity pose a risk, urging caution.
