An earthquake occurred in Sulusaray-Tokat on April 18, with a magnitude of 5.6, injuring 5 people, causing 20 houses and two minarets to collapse, and damaging 283 buildings. Another earthquake affected Yozgat, where 1 building collapsed and 169 buildings were damaged. The first half of the year saw a total of 17,343 earthquakes in Turkey, with the highest number recorded in Malatya at 3,078 earthquakes. This was followed by Kahramanmaraş with 2,599 earthquakes, Muğla with 1,153, Izmir with 1,000, Adıyaman with 814, and Çanakkale with 645 earthquakes. Expert Doç.
