X Design Changing: Swipe Left to Like, Swipe Right to Comment

X, interactivity buttons from posts to be removed, planning to redesign how the content appears in users' feeds. This means that repost (also known as retweet), like, and reply buttons will no longer be visible under each post in a user's X timeline. With the removal of buttons, the repost, like, and reply counts on each post will also be eliminated. X wants users to swipe left or right on a post to like or reply instead of tapping on a button. The only visible metric on a post in the timeline will be the view count moved to the top right corner of the post. The upcoming X post design change was first discovered by researcher Aaron Perris from MacRumors. X's owner Elon Musk later confirmed that the changes will be implemented. So far, the reactions from most users have been negative. Musk responded to a user criticizing the change in a video showing the redesign, saying, 'Swipe left to like, swipe right to reply. This is great.'
